How to Check your Netscape E-mail Settings

Click on Options
then select Mail and News Preferences


Select the tab Labled Servers
This is the SERVERS Tab that we are on. This is where most of your crucial settings are. Look at the top two highlighted areas.
Outgoing mail (SMTP)
Incoming mail (POP3)
both of these should have
mail.bright.net, just like our example to the right.
the POP3 User Name will be your username
(Your username is not "username")

Once we verify that this is correct, Let's click on the Identity tab at the top (Don't click the OK button at the bottom...Yet)


Look at the e-mail address (the section we have highlighted with a red outline. It should be in the same format. username@bright.net

Look at the reply to address (the section we have highlighted with a red outline. It should be in the same format. username@bright.net

Once we verify that this is correct, Let's click on the OK button at the bottom...Now)
