How to check e-mail | How to send a message | How to set up Eudora
When you open Eudora, it normally doesn't open any windows - this is usually pretty confusing for novice Mac users. Just remember that a program like Eudora can be 'Active' without having any windows open.
How to check e-mail
To check mail, go to the File menu and click on Check Mail.
It should check for mail and put it in your Inbox. To open the Inbox go to the Mailbox Menu and click on In.
There's your inbox - just double-click on a message to view it.
How to send a message
To send a new message, go to the Message menu and click on New Message.
Here's your new message:

How to set up Eudora
To get to the settings, go to the Special menu and click on Settings.
(In older versions of Eudora go to the Tools menu and click on options)
It will open the Settings window. First fill out the 'Getting Started' section:

Real name is your full name or whatever you want people to see when you send them an email.

POP account is your username followed by an @ symbol and then your POP server. Usually the pattern is "username@mail.bright.net".

Return address you may leave blank.

Click on the Personal Information category on the left.

POP account, Real name and Return address should already be filled out if you typed them in on the Getting Started section.

Dialup Username is your bright.net username. This would be the first part of your email address. (without the @bright.net)

Click on the Hosts category on the left.

POP account should already be filled out.

SMTP is usually 'mail.bright.net'.

Leave Ph and Finger blank.

If you wish to save your password, click on the Checkin Mail category on the left

Once again, POP account should already be filled out if you typed it in on previous screens

Put a check next to Save Password. You'll have to type it in once - the next time you check mail. After that it should be saved.
