1.Connect to bright.net
2.Start your ftp program, in this example we used WS-FTP95 Pro from ipswitch.




3.Press the connect button and it will bring up the screen where we can put in the required information.





Profile Name should be anything that you associate with uploading your bright.net homepage.

Host Name must be www.bright.net

User ID must be your username exactly as you enter it to logon to bright.net.

Password must be your password exactly as you enter it to logon to bright.net.

Account will be left blank.

Remote Host will be public_html

Local PC can be blank or the directory where your homepage is saved on your computer.

Comment can be anything you want.

Put a check in the Save Password box if you want to save your password.

Click on the Save button between the Delete and New buttons, this will save your session profile.
When all the required information is completely filled out,  click on the button to login.

That was easy enough, now to upload your webpage. The files on the left are on your computer (Local System).  The files on the right are on the remote web server (Remote System). You need to put your local web page files on the remote web server. Find the location of your web pages on your computer on the left part of the FTP window, highlight them, click the arrow pointing to the right part of the FTP window, and you are done uploading your web page.

Check out you webpage to make sure everything made the transfer. The url for your webpage is http://www.bright.net/~username where username is your bright.net username.
